These Terms and Conditions govern the basis on which tessarls provides legal services to clients. By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by the terms set out below. Please read them with care. If you have any questions before proceeding, we are glad to clarify.

By submitting an enquiry, signing a letter of engagement, or making payment for any service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions. Where you are acting on behalf of a company or other entity, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that entity.

Each engagement will be documented in a letter of engagement that sets out the scope of the service, the fee, and the expected timeline. Work will commence upon receipt of the signed engagement letter and any required deposit.

All fees are in Singapore Dollars (SGD) and are subject to applicable taxes. Payment may be made by bank transfer or such other methods as notified to you at the time of engagement. A deposit may be required before commencement of work. Final invoices are due within 14 days of issue unless otherwise agreed.

Third-party disbursements (such as MOM filing fees or government charges) are charged separately at cost.

All content on this website — including text, design, structure, and branding — is the intellectual property of tessarls or its licensors. Documents produced for a client as part of a service engagement are provided for that client's own use. You may not reproduce, share, or re-purpose tessarls's templates, methodologies, or website content without prior written consent.

10. Confidentiality

All client information shared with tessarls in connection with a service engagement will be treated as confidential. We will not disclose this information to third parties except as required to deliver the service (e.g., submission to MOM), as required by law, or with your express consent. Our confidentiality obligations continue beyond the conclusion of an engagement.

Content published on this website is for general informational purposes and does not constitute legal advice. An attorney-client relationship is formed only upon the signing of a letter of engagement. Outcomes of immigration applications or other legal matters depend on many factors outside our control, and no particular result can be stated in advance. We will inform you of our honest assessment of your circumstances.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Singapore law, tessarls's total liability to you in connection with any service engagement shall not exceed the total fees paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses, including loss of business opportunity, profit, or anticipated savings, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such losses. We are not liable for outcomes attributable to inaccurate information provided by the client or decisions made by third parties (such as MOM).

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless tessarls, its principals, and staff from and against any claims, losses, or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms and Conditions, your provision of false or misleading information, or your use of our services for unlawful purposes.

14. Termination

Either party may terminate an engagement by written notice if the other party commits a material breach that is not remedied within 14 days of notice, or if the engagement becomes unlawful or impractical to continue.

Upon termination, you remain liable for fees corresponding to work completed up to the termination date. tessarls will return original documents provided by the client within a reasonable period. Confidentiality obligations survive termination.

15. Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises in connection with these Terms or any service engagement, we encourage you to contact us in the first instance at [email protected]. We will make a genuine effort to resolve the matter informally within 30 days.

If informal resolution is not achieved, the dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore.
